Dierks Bentley will be.....
.....nominated, by current Nashville Mayor Megan Barry to join the Nashville Airport Authority Board, according to The Tennessean newspaper. The 13 time Grammy-nominated singer songwriter and avid flyer, if approved by Nashville’s Metro Council, during their next meeting on May 2, will serve on the 10-member board which oversees the Nashville International Airport.
"As a leader in the Nashville music industry and as a pilot himsef, Dierks brings a unique perspective to the board of the MNAA, having flown into hundreds of airports worldwide," Mayor Barry said in a statement.
"I am honored for the opportunity to serve on the Airport Authority Board," Bentley said. "I love Nashville and I love aviation", said the country crooner, who's hit "Drunk On A Plane" topped the charts.
Bentley would take over a seat vacated by Creative Artists Agency’s, Rod Essig. WOW, Dierks, this is a tremendous honor and we wish you well. Best of Luck from all your friends and fans.
